Advantech has been a major player across multiple embedded form factors and began AdvancedTCA development in 2006. Our AdvancedTCA business has grown significantly following the introduction of our Intel® Xeon® 5500/5600 series blades in 2009 and we now design and manufacture ATCA blades for many global Tier-1 ODMs.

Our Networks and Telecom Group spearheads Advantech’s ATCA portfolio. Our focus markets include both the wireless and fixed infrastructure segments. Platforms for LTE build-out are a major focus, as are IMS and Media Gateway functions which are especially important as voice and video transcoding is a major growth area. We also serve the Network Security market with ATCA as well as applications destined for Data Center deployment.

An overarching strategy we employ at Advantech is helping our customers future-proof their technology decisions. Many of our latest products underline that strategy as we help accelerate new product deployment today with the headroom to meet tomorrow’s requirements and enhancements. By providing design and integration services 40G AdvancedTCA, our customers can address their current bandwidth dilemma, with all the headroom they need to scale their products over time to meet increasing packet processing needs. As well as providing blade-level design and manufacturing services, our ATCA Platform Integration Services builds on our global integration capability which is the foundation for bespoke system configurations. We bring together our ecosystem expertise and approach each integration RFQ as a team, looking at ways where we can cost optimize the architecture by bringing collaborating experts to the table. Projects are led by Advantech with an ecosystem of interoperability knowledge allowing us to offer built-in flexibility.

Our flexibility comes from over 25 years of embedded design experience and long term manufacturing expertise with our own Taiwan and China-based factories. This has given us the time to optimize our processes for both small and large batch volumes, and tune our logistics and build-to-order services in integration centers on each continent.
